We will then take a journey to Civita di Bagnoregio,famously referred to as La città che muore, “The Dying Town” because its friable, volcanic base continues slowly crumbling into the valley.

Only a handful of residents live here year-round but tourism has helped bring the town back to life and has come to be exceedingly popular in recent years. Walk in the footsteps of the Renaissance masters in Florence, the gateway to the greater Tuscany area where we will travel to Montalcino, home to the world’s most famous red wines, a hilltop town in the scenic Val’ D’Orcia area and dominated by an imposing fortress with an impressive history.

Upon your arrival you will meet with your private English-speaking assistant who
will escort you to your private transfer and hotel for check-in. Following check-in
you will receive a welcome package that contains touristic information that we
deem you may find useful throughout your stay.

ROME | MICHELIN STARRED DINNER WITH CELEBRITY CHEF

Tonight you will attend the Marco Martini cocktail bar which is housed in an ivycovered
garden-house embellished with velvet sofas and a stained glass gazebo
and a Liberty-style floor that welcomes those who want to have an aperitif or
spend the evening enjoying a drink.
Marco is the youngest Italian Chef to have achieved 4 Michelin stars in a row and
he is an Ambassador of “Italian Cuisine in the World” and has appeared on the
popular competitive cooking show “Master Chef”.
“My cuisine comes from tradition and from a distant past.

ROME | PRIVATE VATICAN TOUR

Meet your private guide expert. Visiting the Vatican you will understand why the
Renaissance was one of the most important periods in human history, an amazing
time when the flowering of the arts was accompanied by the evolution of science –
together laying the foundations for our modern world. We will help you to
visualize the cultural context that gave birth to these incredible artistic
masterpieces – you will learn about the ambitious artists, princes, merchants and
bankers who created a new world of spectacular cities studded with elegant
palaces and magnificent churches.

ARRIVE FLORENCE | RENAISSANCE CITY

Meet your private driver that will then bring you to your next form of
transportation in which you have the option chooses between a private luxury car
or experience the high speed train in which you will travel in Executive Business
Class. Upon your arrival in Florence, if by train, you will then be transferred in a
luxury car to your hotel for check-in.

MONTALCINO | WINE TASTING & LUNCH AT COL D’ORCIA VINEYARDS

Col d’Orcia literally means the hill overlooking the Orcia River. The Orcia River
marks the South West border of the Brunello di Montalcino territory and the name
of the farm is intrinsically linked to the physical location were the vineyards are
planted. It is the mission of Col d’Orcia to produce the best possible wines that the
exceptional combination of soil and climate of this part of Montalcino can
achieve.
For this reason, since August 2010 the whole estate including vineyards, olive
groves, other fields and even the gardens are farmed following exclusively organic
agricultural practices.
A Cellar tour with exclusive Brunello barrel tasting will be followed by a guided
tasting of 8 wines and a 5 course lunch in the estate’s villa, with our farm-to-table
products, ending with Col d’Orcias unique grappa.

SCENIC GOLFING EXPERIENCE:
The Royal Golf La Bagnaia, Siena in Tuscany, offers fans of this sport an 18-hole
course designed over 130 hectares of wooded hills and relaxing landscape.
This prestigious project was designed by renowned golf architect Robert Trent
Jones Jr. whom skillfully created it to blend in with the ancient melody of the
surrounding area. La Bagnaia Resort has risen to the top in Tuscany golfing circles
and offers you one of the most interesting golf courses in Italy.
The Royal Golf La Bagnaia Golf Academy has two highly qualified PGAI
professionals where you can improve your golfing performance and lower your
scores. Premium practice facilities offer exquisite views which are divided into
three areas for training long game, short game, and putting, for golfers who are
looking to improve their game.

• Day 7

MONTALCINO | COOKING CLASS & WINE TASTING

The estate is situated on the north side of Montalcino and extends for 400
hectares, of which 13 are cultivated as vineyards. In the centre stands the castle,
originally built in the thirteenth century by the Atlesi family and completed in
1441 by the Tricerchi family. It served as a fortress for pilgrims marching to Rome
on the Francigena road. In 1982 the castle was declared as an artistic and
historical heritage site.
The tour will includes a tour of the castle, a tour of the suggestive Brunello di
Montalcino vineyards and cellars. Then, together with a private Chef you will
create a typical Tuscan lunch, served in the Castle matched with 3 different types
of wine.

• Day 8

MONTALCINO | WINE TASTING & LUNCH AT LE RAGNAIE WINEYARDS

Le Ragnaie winery extends over 28 hectres in the county of Montalcino which is
located in the Province of Siena. Our land is coltivated with vines and olive groves
and we follow the guidelines for Organic Agriculture*.
Our vineyards are divided into three distinct parcels of land throughout
Montalcino which allows us to produce three diverse ‘terroirs’ of Brunello.
Our personalized wine tour will take you through the wine making process. You
will start in the vineyard where you will learn about the importance of soil, then
be shown how the vines are trained and the harvest of perfectly ripe grapes.
We will then take you to the winery. Here we will show you the wine-making
process, how the fermentation process works before the finished product is
bottled.

Meet your private driver that will then bring you to your next form of
transportation in which you have the option chooses between a private luxury car

Your deposit is due immediately on booking (30% of program price,) The balance is due 90 days prior to departure.
Cancellations of confirmed bookings 90 days or more prior to departure will receive full refund minus a $ 350(per person) administrative fee and any non-refundable paid fees (e.g. non-refundable airfare, cruise or hotel deposits). 60-89 days will be subject to loss of 30% of program price. 30-59 days will be subject to loss of 50% of program price. 29 days or less will be subject to loss of 100% of program price.
Tour quotes do not include airfare to/from the trip start point unless noted on the itinerary
Cost increases in currency exchange, government fees, taxes, surcharges or hotel/lodge tariff increases between quote date and start date are payable by the client.
Availability cannot be guaranteed until booked. We will exercise best efforts to book hotels per the itinerary, however, in busy seasons and with client bookings made within 90 days of tour date we may be forced to offer substitutes.
